The primary purpose of the Community Care Aide (CCA) position is to provide supportive services to the nursing team on the various Mid Coast Senior Health Center communities and to allow the participant the opportunity to work within our communities during their CNA training class experience in the role of a non-direct care provider. Through service in this role, the CCA will be provided a supportive orientation to the various communities and will be well prepared to transition to the role of CNA following their graduation and successful completion of the state CNA certification testing process.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: N/A.
- License/Certifications: Must be actively enrolled in CNA certification training program.
- Experience: Prior long-term care experience preferred.
- Exhibit mature, responsible behavior.
- Understand and practice resident confidentiality.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English.
- Must be able to follow direction and accurately report to the Registered Nurse (or appropriate designee) any changes in client condition.
