Summary

  • Position Summary
    • Along with being a practicing clinician, this position is responsible for assisting practices with identifying clinical processes in order ensure quality of care, patient safety, and patient and employee satisfaction. The director provides indirect leadership to the Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and clinical oversight to all clinical staff in the practices.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: Master’s degree or other advanced training in Nursing or health related field required
    • Licensure/Certification: Current license and National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant required.
    • Experience: Clinical supervisory experience required. Minimum of three (3) years relevant clinical experience and demonstrated clinical competency. Three to five (3-5) years of experience in a healthcare leadership position; experience in practice operations, strategic clinical program planning and implementation.
    • Proven skills and knowledge base necessary for independent clinical decision making.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Ability to function effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
    • Effective oral and written skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and customer relation skills.
    • Knowledge of HR management practices including supervision and staff development.
    • Skills in exercising a high-degree of initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills; experience in organizational behavior, managing without authority, working closely and collaborating with senior management physician leadership.
    • Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques.
    • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
    • Demonstrated skills in process improvement with commitment to continuously improve clinical workflows/operations.
    • Ability to manage advanced practice practitioners across multiple physician specialties.
    • Strong computer skills.
    • Ability to organize work and coordinate multiple activities to achieve goals and objectives.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data.
    • Travel between site locations required.
