Summary

  • Position Summary
    • Supporting the department of Epidemiology which includes the Hospital Epidemiologist, Director and 7 Nurse Epidemiologists, the Administrative Specialist II performs a combination of administrative, project, and secretarial work. The position is responsible for coordinating the day to day activities of the department and administrative operations. The position is responsible for; preparing correspondence, collecting and maintaining data for the department's reporting functions, managing schedules and calendars which may include complex meetings, preparing PowerPoints and Excel spreadsheets, managing incoming phone calls and other similar activities. Previous Microsoft Office experience, attention to detail and the ability to remain focused and adjust tasks as needed is required.  Knowledge of medical terminology, especially microbiology is preferred but not required.  This is a team-orientated, mission driven, fast-past environment.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: 4-5 years of experience in an administrative support role preferred. Demonstrated experience with all Microsoft Office suite products.
