Summary

  • Position Summary
    • They Administrative Specialist III for Psychiatry performs a combination of administrative, project, and limited secretarial work for one executive and a team of providers.  Work is diversified and delegated in the form of results expected, requiring independent decisions within a broad framework of practices and precedent. Position is expected to resolve problems of a varying nature with minimal direction provided.  Responsibilities include; organizing and scheduling of meetings for executives on the team, some of which are complex, prepping materials for meetings such as PowerPoints and Microsoft Excel, attending meetings and taking minutes, processing disbursements and tracking the departments spending.  Strong Microsoft Office experience is required.  Prior experience in a medical office and/or knowledge of medical and psychiatric terminology is preferred but not required.  This is a supportive, mission based, team oriented environment.  
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in an administrative support role required.
    • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
    • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    • Strong interpersonal skills.
    • Strong multi-tasking skills.
    • Strong problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
