Summary

Position Summary
 
The Administrative Specialist II supports the Manager and Director of Patient Experience by performing a combination of administrative, project, and secretarial work which includes managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and communicating with other departments' administrative teams. The position is also responsible for coordinating the day to day activities of the volunteer program which includes; maintaining the volunteer database, onboarding of volunteers, planning recognitions and organizing required trainings.  This position works closely with the Volunteer Coordinator.  Organization skills and strong customer service abilities are imperative to this roll.
 
*Please note that during the COVID-19 pandemic this position has temporarily changed in order to support the current needs of the department and hospital.  This includes; providing screenings at hospital entrances, covering the Information Desk at the main entrance and delivering concierge items to different units.  Currently this position is a day/evening shift but will move to just days post pandemic.
  • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
    • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • License/Certifications: N/A
    • Experience: 4-5 years of experience in an administrative support role preferred. Demonstrated experience with all Microsoft Office suite products.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.

    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
