Under the direction of the Director of the Center for Molecular Medicine, the Administrative Specialist II performs a combination of administrative and project work. Working with the Director and other administrative and management staff, responsibilities include providing administrative support for the Center for Molecular Medicine, the Research Training Program, and two Centers of Biomedical Research Excellence; managing calendars; scheduling and providing support for meetings and videoconferences; taking meeting minutes; making travel and meeting arrangements; coordinating collection and submission of materials for academic appointments and promotions, as well as other tasks as assigned.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  1. Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: 4-5 years of experience in an administrative support role preferred. Demonstrated experience with all Microsoft Office suite products.
  4. Strong written and oral communication skills.

  8. Strong organizational skills.
  9. Ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
