Maine Coast Hospitalist Leader

 Located on the shores of Penobscot Bay in Belfast Maine, Waldo County General Hospital has an opportunity for BC/BE in Internal Medicine and or Family Medicine to join our team in a leadership capacity. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience. WCGH’s Hospitalists work in a team-oriented, collegial environment alongside well-trained NP’s and PA’s to oversee patient care in the inpatient setting. Excellent specialty and subspecialty backup is readily available. The hospital utilizes the Epic EMR, which is fully integrated with all hospital departments, physician practices, and other hospitals within the MaineHealth family.

The Hospital: For 110 years, Waldo County General Hospital has been caring for the people along the Maine Coast. WCGH is a 25 bed Critical Access hospital with a talented medical staff offering an impressive array of specialty coverage including Emergency Medicine, Cardiovascular, Surgical (General, ENT, Urology, Podiatry), Orthopedics, Pulmonology, Nephrology, Ophthalmology, Neurology, Oncology, Outpatient Medicine, Pediatrics, Ob/Gyn and Hospitalist services. Recently, WCGH was named 2015 “iVantage Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals” in the United States; a distinction they have earned four times.
