NorDx is seeking a Laboratory Manager to be based at Pen Bay Medical Center, in Rockport, ME.

The Laboratory Manager provides direction and oversight directly through supervisors or individual contributors for laboratory operations and human resources management, including reviewing all hiring and discipline recommendations. S/he oversees all technical direction and develops, monitors, and takes appropriate action to improve overall departmental performance to ensure that the operational and strategic goals are met. S/he ensures training and competency assessments are completed. Manages budget for the laboratory site.


    • Bachelor’s Degree.
    • Certification in one or more of the following: MT, MLS, CLS, CHT, CHS, CG, CT, HT, HTL, ASCP Scientist/Specialist (BB, C, H, M, MB, SBB, SC, SH, SM) required (ASCP, AMT, HEW, ABHI).
    • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint required.

NorDx has around 550 FTE’s, produces 4.5M tests annually, manages laboratory operations of 3 full-service hospital labs and 8 hospital rapid response labs, operates 27 community patient collection centers and supports over 800 regional clients and 94 Long Term Care facilities.
