Summary

Work Schedule: 20 hours Mon-Wed starting at 8:30 am, working no later than 5:00 pm. No weekends! 

 First point of contact for General Surgery, Surgical Oncology and Pediatric Surgery. This position is for an Administrative Specialist to work in our busy Surgical Specialty group 20 hours per week. We are seeking an individual with excellent communication skills, a high level of empathy and the ability to work independently to support our clinical care teams and patients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Answering phones
  • Processing Referrals
  • Scheduling
  • Preparing new patient charts for their primary surgical consult.

 

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • License/Certifications: N/A
  • Experience: Three years of experience in an administrative support role preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines.
