Summary

Summary:
Under general supervision by clinical leadership, the Athletic Trainer provides athletic training and clinical support services in sports medicine and orthopedic practice and functions as a liaison between providers and local athletes at collegiate and high school youth programs, working closely with the Physical Therapy department. This is a fast-paced role in an exciting field. If the Athletic Trainer has obtained the Orthopedic Technologist Certification (OTC), they will also provide surgical assisting duties as directed by the Orthopedic Surgeon. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training required (graduation from CAATE accredited program). Master’s degree preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) temporary/permanent license as an Athletic Trainer required or in compliance with the state practice act. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. BOC certification. NBCOT certification (eligible or application in process). Casting certification required or needs to obtain within six months of start date.
  3. Experience: One year of experience as a Certified Athletic Trainer preferred.
