Summary:

This is a special opportunity to join Academic Affairs and Medical Education at MaineHealth to represent clinical education programming from an administrative, operational and workforce expansion perspective in collaboration with the University of New England Westbrook College of Health Professions. 

This individual will be responsible for assessing and building upon clinical education programming opportunities at MaineHealth facilities for UNE students for multiple health disciplines, including pathway programming. This person will need strong communication and relational skills to deploy a new network of existing staff at each local health system who can work together to align processes, systems (e.g., compliance for learners) and share best practices and pathways for clinical placements across a variety of health professions. 

Ideally, the person in this role will have prior experience leading change in a complex environment and should be comfortable proposing ideas and contributing to the overall direction of this work. This role will be expected to create, report on and maintain regular project plans, reports and metrics in addition to supporting a strategic steering committee. There are also some operational aspects of this position such as managing a budget and the possibility of managing other staff members. 

    Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

    1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in healthcare or relevant field required. Master's Degree preferred. 
    2. License/Certifications: Licensure may be preferred or required based on setting. 
    3. Experience: Three years of related healthcare work experience required. 
    4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A 
    5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Able to lead work teams. Effective communication skills
