We are seeking experienced nurses to join our Central Staffing Float Pool/Cancer Care at Coastal Healthcare Alliance, comprised of Pen Bay Hospital in Rockport and Waldo Hospital in Belfast.

“Newly Increased Float Pool Differentials Available!”

The Central Staffing Float Pool offers a unique opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses to expand their knowledge base and sharpen their skill set. Nurses are given the opportunity to work at Pen Bay Hospital and Waldo Hospital in Oncology/Cancer Care. A nurse working in the Central Staffing Float Pool must possess the ability to think quickly on their feet, with remarkable adaptability and critical thinking expertise. Having the ability to transition between facilities is a must when working in this role with Central Staffing.

For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to a $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible experienced Registered Nurses with 0-2 years of experience and $20,000 for experienced Registered Nurses with greater than 2 years of experience!

o Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.

o Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

~This position will consist of 32 hours per week. This position will float between Pen Bay and Waldo~

Summary:
The Registered Nurse – Ambulatory Oncology Regional Float Pool role provides high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient outcomes. Collaborates, delegates, and communicates with members of the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Certification required. OCN required or must obtain within 12 months of start date.
  3. Experience: Three years of oncology experience and one year of adult ambulatory oncology experience required.
