MaineHealth Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in South Portland, Maine is recruiting an APP (Advanced Practice Provider) to join our fast-paced Orthopedic Hand Surgery and Sports Medicine team. This position will work with our new hand surgeon in both an OR and clinic setting.
Under physician supervision, the successful candidate will provide medical care through evaluation and treatment in the ambulatory setting. This position will support the daily needs of the existing surgical hand team consisting of 2 Physicians and a Physicians Assistant. This position will also provide call coverage as part of the shared hand call model. The successful candidate will have the ability to work closely and as a liaison with surgical and non-surgical physicians in the management of existing patients for continuity of care. Orthopedic, hand, and surgical experience is preferred. These duties are performed in accordance with established standards and practices as defined by Maine Medical Center, the State of Maine, and the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
