For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Registered Nurses: 

Registered Nurses - New Grads to 2 years of experience: $10,000 (full time) 

Registered Nurses with more than 2 years of experience: $20,000 (full time) 

Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part time RN position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment. 

 

~ 36 Hours a week, 12 hour shifts, 7a – 7p, with weekend/holiday rotations ~

Nursing Float Pool  

The Nursing Float Pool is the department for Registered Nurses that are seeking a dynamic position with an exposure to a broad range of patient acuity levels. Nurses joining the Float Pool have the unique opportunity to develop an expertise in multiple settings and refine their core skill set. Nurses in this department are adaptable to different units, including specialties, which supports flexibility, time-management skills, and critical thinking skills.  

  • Ability to float between multiple Medical-Surgical Units, Special Care Unit (ICU) and Emergency Department, which provides great exposure to specialties while continuing to expand your knowledge and skills  

  • 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm, 7pm-7am)  

  • Elevate your nursing skill set by building a solid foundation then enables you to take your nursing career in any direction with the experience gained working as a Float Nurse 

 

Summary: 
The Registered Nurse II - Acute Care – MMC BID SAN role is responsible for the management of patient care, including clinical nursing practice/caring, leadership, management, professionalism, and growth/development, as well as the independent assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. 

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) 

  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred. 

  1. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. ICU, SCU, ED and PACU RN’s require ACLS and PALS Certifications within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines. OB, NICU RN’s require NRP Certification within one year of start date or in accordance with Department guidelines. Positions that are fully remote will not require BLS. 

  1. Experience: One year of RN experience required. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse – Acute Care role. 

  1. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for any RN assisting Laboring Women required. 

  1. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A
