Your Role:
Walk-in Care is a high paced, busy practice that sees every type of patient from newborn to geriatric, all types of injuries/illnesses.
The Registered Nurse (RN) at Walk-In Care | MaineHealth Waldo Hospital is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care for patients and families through effective use of the nursing process and by following established policies and protocols. This position exercises independent judgement to assess patient needs and works collaboratively with the Medical Staff, Providers, Nursing Staff, Administration, and Support Services to provide safe, quality care to patients. This position will be able to triage patient calls, conduct clinical calls to patients (post ED/IP discharge and return calls) under the advisement of Providers and assist Providers in patient care when needed, provide education to patients, coordinate care among an integrated care team, specialists and community resources as well as identify high and rising risk patients and alert the care team. Responsible for supporting primary care objectives including outreach to patients, surveillance of health maintenance areas, coordination of care, triaging and proactively creating relationships with Providers and patients to ensure optimum health and wellness. This role is primarily administrative with limited patient contact.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
3. Experience: One year of RN experience preferred.
