MaineHealth Pediatric Specialty Developmental Medicine is recruiting for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their care team in Kennebunk, Maine. Under the direction of a physician or the Medical Director, the Nurse Practitioner provides developmental behavioral pediatric care in an outpatient setting. The Nurse Practitioner will provide face to face Developmental Behavioral evaluations, medication management and follow up care including parental guidance and educational advocacy. The nurse practitioner will co-manage their caseloads with the physicians and will coordinate care with other team members including psychologists, psychometrists and nurses. 

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

Education: Master's degree with an advanced knowledge of nursing theory and practice. 

License/Certification: Current and valid license as a Nurse Practitioner by the Maine State Board of Nursing and qualified to do psychiatric evaluations and medication management; PMHS (Pediatric Care Mental Health Specialist) training and certification preferred. 

Experience: Pediatric Experience is required; extensive experience working with children and teens with developmental and behavioral challenges; advanced Skill and Knowledge in conducting psychiatric evaluation and treating patients with psychotropic mediation is desired.
