Summary:
The Intern role provides administrative and project support within assigned department, while gaining valuable, hands-on experience in a healthcare environment.

The Clinical Research Intern will learn about and participate in the research process. The intern will be assigned to one or more ongoing research projects. 

The intern will:

  • Complete human subjects protection training
  • Complete good clinical practice training
  • Read and familiarize themselves with the protocol(s)
  • Understand assessments to be done, the appropriate time periods and the allowed visit windows 

As applicable:

  • Become proficient in discussing the protocol with potential research subjects
  • Obtain information from subjects regarding medical history, adverse events, concomitant medications, under supervision
  • Perform data abstraction and data entry tasks with a high level of precision
  • Perform protocol specific tasks deemed appropriate for their training and experience

Preference will be given to undergraduate students pursuing pre-med, biology, or research.

1. Education: Student who is currently enrolled in a two-year Associate’s Degree program, Bachelor’s Degree program, or graduate-level program preferred.
