Join our talented surgical team at Maine Medical Center as an Operating Room Nurse Manager (RN)! We are a level 1 Trauma Center, with 39 Operating rooms located in Portland, ME. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join a state-of-the-art facility working with outstanding nurses and clinical team members while growing the surgical program into the future. The right candidate must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the Operating Room experience as well as experience overseeing others. Excellent communication skills, team focus, and a patient-centered care philosophy desired.
This position will support the Vascular and Thoracic service line. Requires Operating Room experience.
Summary:
The Nurse Manager in collaboration with the Nursing Director is the vital link between the mission and vision of Maine Medical Center and the delivery of safe patient and family centered care that is compassionate, evidence-based, and provides highest quality care. Reporting through the Nursing Director, this role requires collaboration with staff, physicians, directors, other professional colleagues and occasionally senior administration, to meet the diverse and continually changing challenges of the health care environment. The Nurse Manager must be a creative, autonomous, future-oriented, risk-taking entrepreneur who applies nursing expertise, critical thinking, and effective leadership and management skills to ensure that quality care is provided through satisfied and inspired professionals on a daily basis.
