This position is a specialty care position and not a general OBGYN office. We serve a population of patients that have urinary incontinence, prolapse, and other pelvic floor disorders. Nurses in the office are expected to do nursing visits, phone triage, procedure set up, assist with procedures, referral review and more. In the New Graduate Program, the Registered Nurse - New Graduate - Ambulatory Care role is working progressively towards competency and independence in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The program is intended to support the new graduate nurse in making the transition from student to competent clinical practitioner.
Summary:
The Registered Nurse II – Ambulatory role uses professional nursing processes to assess the needs of patients and families calling or presenting for care in the physician office and performs a wide variety of patient care services to assist physicians/advanced practice practitioners in delivering excellent care to patients of the practice.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred. 2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. 3. Experience: One year of RN experience required. Two years of relevant experience preferred. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Registered Nurse I - Ambulatory Care role. 4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A 5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A
