ENA Nurse Residency Program - The Emergency Department is offering the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) Residency Program.

We’ve partnered with the ENA to offer you an emergency nursing specific residency program, which will include a combination of unit based learning with a preceptor and classroom based didactic training. Individual applicants can select a shift based on the availability within the unit. Specific information on this can be obtained during the interview process.
Emergency Department- Biddeford/Sanford
The Emergency Department Biddeford/Sanford provides 24-hour emergency care supporting 2 separate campuses. It is a level III emergency department that, combined, both campuses treat over 40,000 patients per year. Each campus provides care to a variety of patient populations from pediatrics to geriatrics.
The Emergency Department is a fast-paced environment with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration with up to 47 treatment beds in Biddeford and up to 25 treatment beds in Sanford.
The Sanford campus is York County’s only inpatient behavioral health unit with a 24/7 emergency department.
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse - New Graduate - Acute Care role is working progressively towards competency and independence in the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The New Graduate Program is intended to support the new graduate nurse in making the transition from student to competent clinical practitioner.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1.Education: Graduate of accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
2.License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
3.Experience:N/A
