Job Summary

Hybrid work option. The Pharmacy Systems Administrator designs, implements and manages the software and processes of assigned technologies. This includes maintenance, upgrades, and development associated with the safe and reliable utilization of MaineHealth’s Pharmacy systems and related equipment. Technologies in scope may include; automated dispensing cabinets, drug diversion software, perpetual inventory software, and smart infusion pump integration. The system administrator is responsible for the development of reports, coordination of upgrades and new implementations, and database maintenance and build. As a central resource for the health system, this position coordinates and helps resolve non-biomedical engineering problems related to pharmacy systems and equipment. The Pharmacy Systems Administrator will support safe patient care while ensuring efficient and user-friendly workflows for care team members who are providing direct patient care.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Associate’s Degree preferred.

 2. License/Certifications: Current or eligible for applicable state(s) license as a Pharmacy Technician in the State required. CPhT Certificate preferred.

 3. Experience: Experience in a computerized, hospital, or healthcare setting preferred 

 4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Proficient computer skills. 

 5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Pyxis technical expertise.
