MaineHealth is offering a $5,000 sign on for this Clinical Nurse Educator position

Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.


This is a full-time, 36 hour per week, on-site position.

Your Role:
The Clinical Educator contributes to education and professional development needs as part of a Regional Education Team. This position provides a variety of education and learning experiences including onboarding nursing team members, New Nurse Residency Program, hi-fidelity simulation learning experiences, CNA and MA entry level training, and more. The ideal candidate will be excited to collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team working with department-based/unit-based educators and others to fulfill the strategic goals of the region.


Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing/BSN required. Master’s Degree in Nursing or related field preferred. 2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. 3. Experience: Demonstrated clinical expertise in direct patient care as normally acquired through a minimum of two years clinical experience and meets all the care delivery expectations of the expert clinical nurse within their clinical setting required. Experience in classroom instruction and/or clinical teaching associated with specialty specific setting preferred. 4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: N/A 5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Knowledge of educational development and design preferred.
