Summary

Summary:
The Registered Nurse – Infusion Therapy – Acute Care – WH role is responsible for providing high quality patient and family centered care in accordance with the scope of practice defined by the Maine State Board of Nursing.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license as a Registered Professional Nurse required. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy certification required within 3 months of start date. Oncology Nurse Certification (OCN) preferred, or must obtain within 3 years of start date.
  3. Experience: Three years of relevant acute clinical experience required with one year oncology experience preferred.
  4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: May be needed to work at both Waldo and Pen Bay Cancer Care departments.
  5. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A
