The Registered Nurse for this position would hold a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and be responsible for telephone triage of patient’s cared for by the adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) team at our ambulatory cardiology practices in Scarborough, ME. Once trained this candidate would have the opportunity to have a hybrid remote schedule. This position is Full Time; a 40 hour per week position, with no required holidays or weekends. The ideal candidate would have at least two years of cardiology experience.
Summary:
The Registered Nurse – Patient Navigator – Cardiac Surgery role supports safe patient and family centered care by meeting the specialized needs of patients in the assigned service line as they progress through a wide variety of health care settings. The position is responsible for facilitating care and surgical services to enhance quality, cost-effective clinical outcomes, to both meet patients' healthcare needs while also decreasing fragmentation and duplication of care.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
1. Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN preferred.
2. License/Certifications: Current State of Maine Nursing License or eligible for licensure to practice in Maine. Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
3. Experience: Two years of RN experience required. Experience in area of specialty may be required. Supervisory experience preferred.
