Position Summary

Coastal Healthcare Alliance has an immediate need for a Community Health Program Management Specialist to join our Community Health team. The Program Management Specialist will be responsible for assisting with the coordination and implementation of State and Federal Community Health Grants for Waldo County General Hospital and Pen Bay Medical Center. The primary responsibility of this position will be to coordinate evaluation and communication needs related to Tobacco Use Prevention and some food insecurity and other community health initiatives.

The Program Management Specialist is responsible for implementation, evaluation and oversight of assigned programs. The Program Management Specialist will draft program work plans, monitor day to day activities, timelines and other operational aspects of assigned programs. With minimal direction, may lead one or more small programs. Community & Public Health professionals are encouraged to apply.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

  1. Education: Bachelor's Degree in health care related field preferred.
  2. License/Certifications: N/A
  3. Experience: 2+ years of program coordination work experience. 2-4 years of health or related work experience.
  4. Strong communication skills
  5. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  6. Technical acumen or subject matter expertise for programmatic tools (e.g. Microsoft office suite, Survey Monkey, SmartSheet)
  7. Able to work independently with little supervision
  8. Strong prioritization skills
  9. Able to collaborate well with all stakeholders
  10. Demonstrated ability to model professional behavior by working as a high functioning team member, respecting others, and maintaining open and honest communications
