Franklin Health Behavioral Services is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Psychiatrist to serve as Medical Director of their established practice located in Farmington, Maine.
Greater Franklin County is tucked in the beautiful western mountain foothills of Maine. One of the most spectacular places in New England, Greater Franklin County is a charming four-season region offering numerous opportunities for its 40,000 residents, including a nationally-acclaimed health care system, the pristine Rangeley lakes region, panoramic views and bustling downtowns with a distinct local flavor and the home of the University of Maine at Farmington. The area offers some of the most breathtaking natural beauty and outdoor recreation found anywhere in a safe community environment. New Physicians, staff and their families at Franklin Memorial Hospital can enjoy an added benefit of a paid ski pass at nearby Sugarloaf Mountain, offering world-class skiing and home to Olympic Gold medalist Seth Wescott.
This is a full-time position with an average of 14 patients per day, with call provided by our local Evergreen Crisis Team. The selected candidate will be the lead provider for the Practice, IOP Program Director, Medical Director/Board member of our Crisis program, and Suboxone prescriber. The provider will work with 2 Nurse Practitioners and a team of clinical professionals in our Medical Arts Building attached to the main hospital.
