Maine Medical Center CNA Apprentice Program Information Session | January 8th
MMC Dana Center – 22 Bramhall Street, Portland
Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) are caregivers who provide patients assistance with activities of daily living and basic needs. CNAs help patients feel safe and comfortable throughout their hospital stay. These direct caregivers are an instrumental part of the Maine Medical Center team.
Becoming a CNA is a great place to start your medical career! Maine Medical Center offers a CNA Apprentice Program which is sponsored by MMC’s Center for Clinical and Professional Development and Portland Adult Education. The program, offered several times a year, includes classroom work, skills labs and clinical experience. This 9 week, 40 hour a week program consists of 24 hours of school attendance and 16 hours of Patient Companion-Sitter work on one of the many units at Maine Medical Center. You are a paid, full-time temporary employee with benefits while you earn your CNA certificate.
To be considered for the CNA Apprentice Program you must attend our Information Session on Tuesday, January 8 at MMC’s Dana Center, 22 Bramhall Street in Portland. Sign in begins at 5:30 pm and the presentation will begin at 6 pm. You must bring your completed application and required paperwork.
